Virtual Session | Why SaaS sprawl and genAI require a new approach to technology governance.
Tuesday December 3, 2024 12:00pm - 1:00pm EST
Modern work runs on SaaS and AI. It's never been easier for your workforce to adopt new cloud-based tools wherever, whenever they want. Without the right visibility and controls in place, risk and sprawl run wild.
New technologies require new approaches. Legacy approaches to technology governance like network monitoring and IT service request portals are no longer sufficient and may actually drive SaaS use deeper into the shadows.

In this session, we’ll cover:
- How to create a SaaS security and governance model that aligns to modern work
- How to leverage your workforce to scale your effort
- How Nudge Security can help

Lunch and Learn | Innovating with AI- Balancing Risk and Reward | Special Session Presented by CAIC
Thursday December 5, 2024 12:00pm - 2:00pm EST
The recent introduction of large language models (LLMs) that are trained on vast libraries of verbal (text) inputs opens up AI systems to broad, general applications beyond just pattern recognition. In the process though, the risks associated with the systems are more varied in type and less straightforward to evaluate. The framework presented in this workshop is intended to address identifying and assessing the risks in these new AI systems. Once identified and assessed, such risks can be corrected or mitigated (or simply accepted).

Our framework employs a risk taxonomy that can be used to classify risks according to the nature of their impact (the risk category) as well as the nature of the risk (systematic, random, or purposefully triggered). Once identified, risks can be assessed for likelihood and impact. The attributes of Likelihood, Impact, and Nature define the structure of the “LIN” model.
